To maintain a safe, respectful, fair, and trustworthy marketplace, ASBGiG proactively prevents abusive practices that could undermine our platform's integrity or user authenticity.
Important: Any activity aimed at deliberately manipulating platform tools and features will result in permanent account suspension.
Account Integrity
Multiple Accounts
To buy and/or sell services on ASBGiG, you may have only one account. Creating multiple accounts is misleading to other users and considered system manipulation.
Violation of this policy leads to permanent suspension of all involved accounts.
This policy applies to individual user accounts. The only exception is maintaining both a seller account and an additional "seat" within one Team Account.
Prohibited activities include:
- Gaining competitive advantage through multiple accounts
- Harassing or misleading other users via messaging/ordering systems
- Engaging in fraudulent activities
- Abusing the ASBGiG Referral program
- Bypassing restrictions or permanent suspensions of previous accounts
- Violating ASBGiG's Terms of Service or Community Standards
Security Tip: Never share your authentic credentials (personal email, payment information, phone number) that could be used to create multiple accounts on your behalf.
Fake Identity
We do not allow accounts to pose as another person or entity in a misleading manner.
Prohibited activities include:
- Using fake names, gender, photos, or fictional biographical details
- Presenting fake documents for identity verification
- Using AI-generated imagery/video to impersonate others
- Impersonating other people to mislead or deceive
- Using automated tools to misrepresent your actual location
- Creating ASBGiG profiles with your credentials for others
Consequence: ASBGiG reserves the right to permanently suspend accounts representing fake identities.
Misrepresentation
Misrepresentation includes fraudulent, negligent, or innocent misstatements, or incomplete statements of material facts.
Prohibited activities include:
- Writing misleading content in profiles, skills sections, or backgrounds
- Using ASBGiG badges or levels to misrepresent current status
- Copying Gig descriptions, packages, or content from other users
- Raising Gig prices in personal messages (bait-and-switch)
- Having others represent you without clear disclosure
- Using content without proper rights in Gig descriptions
- Using 'ASBGiG' in usernames or impersonating employees
Inauthentic Behavior
Spam
Spam on ASBGiG includes unwanted, repeated messaging that disrupts the recipient's experience, ranging from unsolicited offers to commercially-motivated solicitations.
Do not:
- Abuse communication tools for unsolicited or deceptive messages
- Distribute malware, phishing, or harmful content
- Use artificial tools to send mass messages
- Contact users about unrelated topics
- Ask for guidance on selling through communication tools
- Send direct messages to promote services
- Ask for donations or free work
Report Spam: If you encounter spam, please report it immediately.
Feedback Manipulation
Client reviews are essential to ASBGiG's rating system, conveying service quality and satisfaction. Reviews must be authentic and reliable.
Do not:
- Manipulate the review system with deceitful information
- Provide deceitful, unsolicited feedback
- Purchase/sell services solely to falsely increase ratings
- Pressure clients to edit or remove feedback
- Pressure clients for 5-star reviews
- Withhold service delivery to gain favorable reviews
- Threaten negative feedback for free extras
Consequence: Any attempt to manipulate reviews may result in permanent suspension of all related accounts.
Reporting Abuse
We value our community members and encourage reporting unacceptable behavior, but we ask you not to misuse reporting tools.
Do not:
- Make false, malicious, or unjustified reports
- Submit repeated reports without allowing response time
- Submit misleading or fabricated evidence
- Engage in mass reporting without valid reasons
- Falsely report competitors to damage their business
- Use multiple accounts to automate report submission
Note: ASBGiG reserves the right to withdraw invalid reports and flag accounts involved in abuse.
Referral Abuse
The ASBGiG Referral program allows earning rewards for inviting friends. Abuse occurs when accounts refer each other solely for bonuses.
Do not:
- Create fake accounts for referral credit
- Manipulate or exploit the referral program
ASBGiG reserves the right to permanently suspend accounts violating referral program rules.
Manipulation
Improper behavior aiming to manipulate ASBGiG platform tools and systems harms our entire community.
Prohibited activities include:
- Excessive cancellations practice
- Sending incomplete, partial, or empty deliveries
- Sending multiple requests without allowing response time
- Accessing platform through unauthorized methods
- Manipulating ranking systems
- Sending artificial web traffic to Gigs
- Offering to sell/buy ASBGiG accounts
- Scraping data from the platform
- Undermining marketplace security and integrity
Off-Platform Transactions
ASBGiG is committed to maintaining a secure, transparent, and trustworthy community. To protect both clients and freelancers, all transactions must occur within our platform.
Conducting business on ASBGiG increases your visibility and credibility. Using our built-in tools helps build long-term relationships and secure higher-value orders.
Engaging outside of ASBGiG increases risks:
- Fraud and scams: Off-platform transactions make deception easier
- Breaches of privacy: Personal information lacks adequate protection
- Limited recourse: ASBGiG cannot intervene in off-platform issues
Prohibited activities include:
- Offering or accepting payments outside ASBGiG
- Proposing to bypass ASBGiG's payment system
- Directing clients/freelancers to external platforms
- Sharing personal contact details for off-platform business
Consequence: Conducting business off-platform violates ASBGiG's Terms of Service and risks permanent account suspension.
Report Violations: We encourage reporting attempts to take business off-platform. Reports go directly to our Trust & Safety team.
