Embracing AI Technology Responsibly

ASBGiG embraces the use of new technology and allows content generated by users and/or generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools and programs. As user expectations evolve with the increasing prevalence of AI tools, freelancers using these technologies must uphold ASBGiG's core values, including equality, respect, privacy, and individual rights.

Technology Forward: We support innovation while maintaining our commitment to quality, ethics, and community standards.

Core AI Content Guidelines

All users must comply with ASBGiG's policies, with particular emphasis on the following guidelines when using AI-generated content.

Rights & Permissions

Freelancers must ensure they have all necessary rights to content created with AI, including:

  • Copyright ownership
  • Trademark rights
  • Required licenses
Compliance

Users must comply with all applicable terms and regulations:

Customization

Freelancers must provide customized work:

  • Unique work per client
  • Personalized deliveries

Zero Tolerance: Content found to infringe intellectual property, violate laws, or breach ASBGiG's standards will be removed, and accounts may be permanently suspended.

Client Communication & Preferences

Transparent Collaboration

Clients with preferences for work created without generative AI tools should clearly communicate this to freelancers. Open dialogue ensures expectations are met and builds trust in the creative process.

Best Practices for Communication
For Freelancers:
  • Disclose AI tool usage in Gig descriptions
  • Discuss AI involvement during order requirements
  • Be transparent about AI-assisted vs. manual work
  • Document tools and processes used
For Clients:
  • Clearly state AI preferences upfront
  • Ask specific questions about tools used
  • Request work samples if concerned
  • Discuss revisions and customization needs

Prohibited AI Uses

Both freelancers and clients are strictly prohibited from using AI tools for harmful, deceptive, or unethical purposes.

Deceptive Practices
  • Creating deepfakes (photo, video, audio)
  • Generating fake accounts or imposters
  • Spreading misinformation
  • Producing non-consensual content
Harmful Applications
  • Unlawful or sexual content creation
  • Misleading or fraudulent activities
  • Automated decision-making in sensitive areas
